S.H.O.C.K. Youth Ministry is the High School ministry of SMCC. It stands for Student Having One Common King. The goal is for our group of students to live their lives in such a passionate pursuit of Jesus that it would literally shock the world’s standards and encourage their peers to live life in the same manner.
Currently, Jon Zmikly is the S.H.O.C.K. youth leader. He teaches on relevant topics like peer pressure, sexual temptations, relationships, the media’s influence, and many other challenging topics students face. This semester, curriculum is from lifechurch.tv, which uses videos and down-to-earth discussions of Christian issues.
S.H.O.C.K. meets on Wednesday nights from 6:45pm to 8:45pm at San Marcos Community Church and runs on the semester schedule of the San Marcos Community Church Mini-Church calendar.
